Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the Human-nicer desktop app and its online Humanize service. By installing or using Human-nicer you agree to them. If you don't agree, please uninstall the app.
1. The app
Human-nicer checks text you copy for patterns common in AI-generated writing and can rewrite it on request. We license you to install and use the app on computers you own or control, for personal or work use, for free. You may not resell, redistribute, decompile or modify the app except where the law allows it regardless of these terms.
2. Scores are estimates
The "sounds AI" score and warnings are automated estimates based on writing patterns. They can be wrong in both directions. They are not evidence of who or what wrote a piece of text, and you must not use them as the basis for academic, employment, disciplinary or other decisions about people.
3. Your account
Humanize requires an account. Keep your sign-in secure and give accurate information. One account per person: creating extra accounts to get around the daily allowance isn't allowed. You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account.
4. Free allowance and fair use
Free accounts include a daily number of rewrites, shown in the app. We may change the allowance, and when demand is very high Humanize may be temporarily unavailable. We may later offer paid plans; if we do, they'll have their own clearly stated price and terms before you buy.
5. Your content
Text you rewrite stays yours, and so does the rewrite. You're responsible for what you send and how you use the result — including following the rules of your school, employer or any platform about AI-assisted writing — and for checking a rewrite before you rely on it. Don't humanize content you don't have the right to use.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use Human-nicer to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- create spam, scams, phishing or deceptive content;
- interfere with the service, probe it for vulnerabilities outside our security reporting process, or access it other than through the app;
- break the usage policies of the AI provider that powers rewrites.
We may suspend accounts that do.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we handle and how. It's part of these terms.
8. Updates
The app updates itself automatically to fix problems and add features. We may change or discontinue features, and we'll try to give notice of significant changes.
9. No warranty
Human-nicer is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of scores or rewrites, to the extent the law allows.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for losses arising from text you send or rely on. Our total liability for any claim relating to the free service is limited to INR 1,000 (or the equivalent in your currency). Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use Human-nicer after that means you accept the new terms.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections where you live.
